At some point in time, the humans managed to free themselves from the yoke of oppression, and the various princesses of the regions met to decide who should have the honor of defeating the true demon lord once he arrived because the arrival of some super demon is apparently going to happen. So, in this distant world, there were once three demon kings that split the world into their own territories and ruled over the humans. “Duel Princess” plays in the world of … just “world”, I guess. But sometimes you can be positively surprised by games that you go in completely blind, so I sat down, invested a few hours into the title, and can now give you an idea of what to expect from “Duel Princess” after fully completing the game. I have not talked about a videogame featuring playing cards for quite a while, haven’t I? Well, time to change that and in what better way to do that than talking about the fanservice-ladened videogame genre-mix that is “Duel Princess”? The quality of the artwork combined with the fact that there are cards and deck building being used as one of the major gameplay elements caught my attention, but I would be lying if I said that I had any idea of what to expect from the title.
